John D. Luker, DDS
Dr. Luker was born and raised in Springfield. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology. He continued his education at Northwestern University Dental School. Upon graduation in 1992, he completed a General Practice Residency at Great Lakes naval base at North Chicago VA Medical Center. He has been practicing dentistry in Springfield since his return in 1993.
Dr. Luker is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the G.V. Black Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. On an average, he attends 75 hours of continuing education each year. He is on the visiting faculty at Spear Institution, which is one of the leading institutions for dentistry and multidiscipline oral health care.
Dr. Luker and his wife, Kristin are blessed with two girls and five boys. They enjoy golf, travel, reading and helping coach many of their children’s sports teams.
